Anthropic unveils "Integrations"

Anthropic has officially announced Integrations, a new feature that lets users directly connect Claude to their apps and tools. This means Claude can now tap into not only the open web and Google Workspace, but also any third-party services or internal systems users link through Integrations. These might include platforms like Notion, Slack, GitHub, Jira, Salesforce, Linear, or internal APIs and data warehouses. Claude can pull from product specs, customer support tickets, engineering logs, marketing docs, CRM records, or any structured data source that’s been connected. The move significantly expands Claude's usefulness beyond basic chat or search, turning it into more of a centralized research and productivity assistant capable of reasoning across company knowledge, historical records, and real-time operational tools.

Advanced Research Mode Unlocks Deeper Analysis

Alongside Integrations, Claude’s Research function now includes an advanced mode. When enabled, this mode allows Claude to conduct deeper investigations across multiple data streams, including the web, Google Workspace, and connected Integrations. It breaks large research questions into sub-tasks, explores each in depth, and compiles the findings into a cohesive, citation-backed report. Most reports generate within 5 to 15 minutes, but for more complex queries, Claude can now spend up to 45 minutes researching—an automation of work that would normally take a human hours. This is particularly useful for use cases like competitive analysis, internal audits, customer trend reports, or synthesizing research for product strategy.

Global Web Search Now Live for All Paid Plans

As part of this update, Anthropic is also rolling out global availability of web search to all paid Claude.ai users. This eliminates regional access restrictions and opens up more consistent, reliable access to real-time web data regardless of where the user is located. For users on paid plans, this means Claude’s answers can now consistently include up-to-date and globally sourced information. Real-time web awareness, when combined with custom integrations, positions Claude to be far more than an AI chatbot—it becomes a personalized knowledge engine with visibility into both public and proprietary data.
