Figure has unveiled its latest humanoid robot, Figure 02, which showcases significant technical advancements. The company's engineering and design teams have undertaken a comprehensive redesign of both hardware and software to create this state-of-the-art robot.

Key Features of Figure 02

Speech-to-Speech Interaction: Equipped with onboard microphones and speakers connected to custom AI models, Figure 02 can engage in conversations with humans.
Advanced Vision System: The robot's vision is powered by six onboard RGB cameras, enhancing its AI-driven visual capabilities.
Enhanced Hands: The fourth-generation hands boast 16 degrees of freedom and human-equivalent strength.
Visual Language Model (VLM): This enables rapid common-sense visual reasoning from the robot's cameras.
Battery: A custom 2.25 KWh battery pack, located in the robot's torso, offers over 50% more energy compared to previous versions.
Increased Computational Power: The CPU/GPU setup provides three times the computation and AI inference capabilities compared to its predecessor.



One use case for Figure 02 is within BMW, where these humanoid robots are being deployed to automate complex, unsafe, or tedious tasks in automotive production. This allows employees to focus on more skilled activities and continuous improvement in production efficiency and safety.
