No AI system short of HAL is likely more famous and better known than DALL-E Mini. It took the internet by storm, with users generating an endless array of entertaining and sometimes curious images with this easy-to-use machine learning model created by Boris Dayma.
While the sudden success did result in some growing pains, that didn't stop the demand, and with good reason - it's an amazing piece of technology and gave the everyperson the ability to see, "touch", and play with machine learning.
It seems the time has come for DALL-E Mini to evolve further, and with that morph into something new like many of the images and visions it helped generate.

Why The Renaming?

According to the Craiyon website, they were asked to change the name away from DALL-E Mini by OpenAI to avoid confusion with their DALL-E model.
I can see how this could have been a problem, as DALL-E Mini was not an OpenAI project but was likely associated with it. And to their credit, OpenAI's DALL-E 2 is incredibly impressive work - it's just not available to the public at this time.

How To Use Craiyon

Using Craiyon is no more difficult than using DALL-E Mini. You can access it on the Craiyon website or through our simple walkthrough here. Enter the text you want to create an image of, and voila ...

Interesting, I think they should have kept the "DALL•E Mini" name, but of course Open"Closed"AI isn't letting people use dalle 2 freely, and they haven't trademarked it.
