Crown Digital Raises $3.7 Million To Further Robot-to-Human F&B Services
Singapore-based tech startup Crown Digital has raised $3.7 million to continue developing the use of robotics in everyday food and beverage service.

A Seed funding effort has landed $3.7 million in the hands of Crown Digital, a Singapore based tech startup. Crown Digital is best known for Ella the robot barista, a barista in the form of a robotic arm able to serve a variety of drinks for customers. Crown Digital has also begun a business expansion through Bytes Station, a tech-themed cafe line featuring Ella with a focus on tech-powered self-service.

Who's funding them and where's the money going?
The Seed funding effort was led by Heliconia Capital, with participation from ParticleX, Momentum Ventures, M4ever, Leave a Nest, Glocalink Singapore, and East Japan Railway. A total of about $3.7 million USD ($5 million SGD) was raised for Crown Digital.
Crown Digital plans to use the money to expand its team, deploy its brand further across Asia, and cunduct more research and development for ideas and concepts.
