Weeds are the bane of all farmers, clogging fields and sucking all the nutrients out of the dirt. Without a good solution to deal with weeds, harvests could be damaged or yield less than expected. It takes a lot of back-breaking manual labor to pick weeds by hand, and chemical sprays can contaminate crops, so what's the best solution? It's a giant AI-powered weed-killing machine, of course.
FarmWise's Titan FT-35 robot uses AI imaging to analyze plants as it drives across crop rows. It's able to detect a wide variety of vegetable species, and employs blades to automatically cut out any invasive weeds found littering the dirt. Their AI has been trained on hundreds of millions of plant images, and can even understand 3D depth to help it be as precise as possible.

Who's funding FarmWise and where's the money going?

Today, FarmWise has announced the completion of a Series B funding round totaling $45 million. The funding round was led by Fall Line Capital and Middleland Capital, with additional participation from Taylor Farms, GV, Playground Global, and Calibrate Ventures.
The money is said to be going towards expanding their team, growing their reach to more locations across the US, and strengthen the AI powering the Titan FT-35 to support a wider variety of crops.
