Habana Labs Partners With Hugging Face

Habana Labs and Hugging Face have decided to combine their powers in the aim of making training machine learning models faster and easier.

Hugging Face has partnered with many companies in the past, and Habana Labs has joined the ever-growing list of collaborations today. This partnership aims to make the process of training models through Habana solutions easier and faster with Hugging Face's Transformers API and Optimum Library.

Habana Labs & Hugging Face

Habana Labs, founded in 2016 and acquired by Intel in 2019, provides a number of hardware and software solutions for machine learning. The focus today with this partnership is on their Gaudi processors and SynapseAI software suite, products focussed on training machine learning models.
Hugging Face hosts of a variety of products and solutions for machine learning, including a number of pre-trained models within their Transformers API and the powerful open-source Optimum library, a toolset for optimizing running and training models, an extension of it.

What does this partnership change?

In this collaborative effort, the two companies set their sights on making the model training process faster and easier. Through this partnership, Habana Labs' SynapseAI software suite will be able to take advantage of the power of Hugging Face's Transformer API and Optimum library, giving customers of Habana the ability to tap into the efficiency and power that Hugging Face's tools provide through Habana products.
