Inflection AI is a curious ML startup brought online last March, and not a lot is known about it other than vague remarks about AI understanding human language better and a promise to "redefine human-computer interaction". The company is co-founded by Reid Hoffman (co-founder of LinkedIn) and Mustafa Suleyman (co-founder of DeepMind), together with Karén Simonyan (who played a key role in the development of AlphaZero, BigGAN, and more).
Their website is a whole single page large not counting the index page splash screen, providing us with only a couple paragraphs to go off of, while their official Twitter account is totally empty save for a single retweet of the announcement.
Adding to the enigmatic nature of this project, the company has recieved $225 million from an unknown source according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Whoever's shelling out the vast sum of money's gotta know more than us on the outside, that's for sure.
