HashiCorp's Terraform platform is a product designed to remove the hassle from setting up complicated cloud-based computing setups. With Terraform's automated cloud infrastructure setup capabilities, it can allow a machine learning engineer more time focussed on the important tasks. Complicated cloud infrastructures can be easily set up, expanded, and deleted with Terraform.
Iterative, a company built on making data science and machine learning processes more approachable, already offering a variety of services for such, sees the importance of tools like Terraform. Iterative is now introducing an open-source plugin for Terraform with a laser focus on making machine learning engineers' experience with Terraform the most optimal it can be.
The plugin's name is Terraform Provider Iterative (TPI) and the full source code is available on GitHub. TPI makes the Terraform for machine learning experience more consistent and less expensive with features including spot recovery improvements, automatic cleanup of unused resources, easy switching between cloud service vendors, and more.
