Azure, Microsoft's cloud service platform, offers a wide range of cloud-based products and services. One of the many things offered is their Azure Cognitive Services, a collection of APIs for connecting with powerful AI models over the cloud.
Today at Microsoft Build, they've announced that the OpenAI portion of these services is having it's availability expanded. The thing is, because it's in a preview state, it has limited access; You'll have to apply for the privilege of getting to use OpenAI's powerful models (naturally, this is due to concerns for users generating harmful content). The Azure OpenAI Service gives you access to several OpenAI models, including GPT-3, that you can use for a wide range of use cases, including subjects like customer review summarization, customer support interaction analysis, and natural-language-based code generation. The service also comes with a few extra capabilities like support for training your own models and filtering systems for handling hateful content.
