Up until now, DALL·E 2 was only accessible through OpenAI's own interfaces, but in recent news we've seen other companies incorporate the image generation tool into their own services, such as Microsoft with Bing Image Creator and Shutterstock's parnership. Now, the ability to bring DALL·E 2 to your own platform is possible with the newly released public API beta for DALL·E.
In the current release of the API, developers can use DALL·E to generate images from text, edit existing images, and create new variations of images. Currently there's no mention on DALL·E's outpainting feature being usable through the API. As the API is in beta, rate limits for use are also in place: 10 images per minute and 25 images per 5 minutes. Naturally, the moderation and content restrictions OpenAI have placed on DALL·E are also present through it's use with the API.
If you would like to learn more about how to use DALL·E through the API, check the documentation site here: https://beta.openai.com/docs/guides/images/usage
