OpenAI's DALL·E 2 Gets New Outpainting Feature
This new DALL·E 2 feature, called outpainting, lets users use AI image generators to extend a source image, preserving style and context.

A new feature has been added to DALL·E 2's feature set, called outpainting. Like inpainting, a well established feature of many image generation models, outpainting modifies sections of an existing image while preserving its style.
While inpainting modifies within the bounds of the original image, outpainting goes beyond that limitation, endlessly extrapolating data to build an entire scene from the source. With the new tool, source images can be extended to any size of final image.
