Generalized industrial manufacturing company Siemens has announced the acquisition of Senseye, a company that offers machine learning-based solutions for predictive maintenance for industrial companies.

With the acquisition, Siemens has further grown the catalog of digital services its customers can take advantage of. Senseye's predictive maintenance solutions lets equipment manager quickly understand the state of their machinery and their condition now and in the future. It can also determine how long a piece of machinery has left in its remaining useful life - all this powered by predictive AI methods.
Senseye's claim is that customers can look forward to reductions in unplanned equipment downtimes by up to 50%, and increased maintenance staff productivity by up to 30%. Their solution is applicable to a wide variety of industries, so everyone can take advantage of this company now acquired by Siemens.
