Union.ai is a company born from the founding engineers behind Flyte, an open-source ML workflow automation platform used by numerous companies. Flyte was developed in-house by Lyft, and is now a framework used by numerous companies across the globe.
The seed funding effort is led by New Enterprise Associates, a global venture capital firm, with some addition funding from other sources. Today the raising effort has been closed, coming to a total of $10 million.

What is Union.ai planning to do with the funds?

Union.ai is in the process of releasing a new tool that aims to make the process of using Flyte easier for everyone. Union Cloud brings the power of Flyte into the user's hands without needing to actually manage the complicated Flyte framework itself, creating accessibility. The tool also adds additional utilities useful for ML engineers using Flyte.
With the $10 million in raised funds, Union.ai plans to further grow the open-source Flyte project as well as continue to build the Union Cloud platform.
The Union Cloud platform is currently in development, but you can join the waitlist to get access to the pre-release version here: https://www.union.ai/waitlist
