Microsoft has partnered with Mistral AI to expand its AI portfolio, introducing Mistral's advanced models like Mistral Large and Mistral Small to a wider audience via Azure. Mistral Large excels in multilingual reasoning and complex tasks, while Mistral Small offers efficiency and speed.
Researchers have developed a novel method, "p-diff," which uses diffusion models to generate diverse and high-performing neural network parameters. The model is trained on existing parameters from pretrained models, and ultimately improves inference performance without significant computational costs.
Google has released Gemma, an open-source suite of AI models available in 2B and 7B variants, designed for ethical AI development. Gemma models, compatible across major AI frameworks, outperform counterparts like Mistral-7B on benchmarks.
