Goals

Outcomes of this 9-week course are:
→ familiarity with Weights and Biases as a platform
→ ability to run a UI-only demo (based on content from fully-connected)
→ ability to run a Colab-demo (where we run code and see updates in realtime)

Intro to W&B

Assignments

  • Task 1: Familiarize yourselves with Fully connected (https://wandb.ai/fc) by using the filters and search
  • Task 2: Familiarize yourselves with the projects (https://wandb.ai/fully-connected/projects), you should be able to mention 2 and explain what they can be used (e.g. use cases)
  • Task 3: Choose 1 article / report that sounds interesting to you and present it in the session (5 - 7 minutes). Example: if you like whales, you can use this report 🐋.

Assignments

  1. Familiarize yourself with Google Colab. https://colab.research.google.com/
  2. Create your first own Colab with Examples that are suggested in the UI. You could start with Overview of Colaboratory Features
  3. Create a wandb.ai account using your wandb.com email address
  4. Copy your API Key from the wandb.ai settings danger zone by clicking on the alphanumeric string
  5. Ensure that you can login using your API key from step 4.
  6. Run one cell in the demo Colab (only run Log plots) and open the wandb run details in a separate tab.
