This statement is made pursuant to the United Kingdom Modern Slavery Act of 2015 and the Australian Modern Slavery Act of 2018 (together, the “Modern Slavery Act”) and sets out the steps that Weights and Biases, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiaries (together, “W&B”, “we”, “us” or “our”), as applicable, have taken to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain. This statement is subject to change as required by applicable laws.
Our Business
W&B offers an AI developer platform for training and fine-tuning AI models and developing AI applications.
Our Operations and Supply Chain
Headquartered in San Francisco, California, W&B employs a global workforce composed primarily of skilled professionals. W&B complies with applicable employment and labor laws in regions where it operates.
W&B’s supply chain consists primarily of technology and service vendors that provide consulting services, SaaS subscriptions, cloud services and marketing services. A small percentage of W&B’s suppliers provide office space and hardware. Where appropriate, W&B obtains contractual assurances from suppliers to remain compliant at all times with applicable laws and regulations including the Modern Slavery Act.
Given the nature of W&B’s business and taking into account modern slavery risk factors, we have determined that the risk of modern-day slavery and human trafficking occurring within our business or supply chain is low.
Our Policies and Processes
W&B is committed to a work environment and supply chain that are free from slavery and human trafficking. We have implemented measures to identify and assess these risks in alignment with industry standards. We ensure employee awareness of and compliance with our zero-tolerance position on modern slavery and human trafficking via our policies and processes. Our Employee Handbook includes policies around ethical and responsible behavior, culture, integrity, harassment and discrimination. We also have standalone policies covering matters such as anti-bribery and corruption. From time to time, W&B employees are required to attend trainings related to these policies.
Going Forward
W&B will continue to look for ways to improve our operations and supply chain to ensure a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking risks. To the extent such risks or violations are identified, we will implement all appropriate actions to eliminate them.
